Which payment methods do you accept?
Currently we are accepting cash, credit card payments.
What gear is included?
We supply you with a Helmet, Goggles, Gloves, Dirt Bike Boots, Chest Guard, Elbow Guards, and Knee/Shin Guards. We do not supply dirt bike jerseys or pants.
Can I bring my own gear?
Yes, you are welcomed to bring your own gear. The gear we provide is free of charge and optional, except for the helmet. We do not recommend street helmets for dirt bike riding.
What is your policy for damaged bikes?
Any damages that result in part replacement will be charged to the renter, a labor fee may apply depending on the extent of the damages.
If the bike is considered a total loss you will be charge for the "used" value of the bike, and/or you will not receive your security deposit back.
Is transportation provided?
Regretfully no it is not. You will need to have your own form of transportation.
What are your hours?
Currently our hours are from 8am to 5pm in the spring/summer and 9am to 4pm in the fall/winter, 7 days a week. If you need us outside of those hours shoot us an email, text message, or leave a voicemail.
What is your cancellation policy?
100% of the reservation deposit is non- refundable with in 30 days or rental date.
50% of rental fee is non-refundable within 72 hours of rental date. If paid in full.
100% of rental fee is non-refundable within 24 hours of rental date. If paid in full.
NO refunds for early returns
NO refunds on cancellations due to rain, heat, snow, or any natural event.
What happens if I am not able to keep the appointment because of act of nature beyond control?
You will fall under our cancellation policy and refunds may not apply. There will be no refunds for tardiness. If you show up late to pick up your rental motorcycle or miss part of your tour or training we will help you in a reasonable way so you might receive the services booked for the remaining duration.
What’s the cancellation fee?
The minimum cancellation fee is the amount of your reservation deposit, typically 25% of your balance.
Do you offer gift cards?
At the moment no, but we hope to offer them in the future.
Do you accept Gratuity (Tips)?
Any gratuity is very much appreciated. We prefer that if you do tip, to tip in cash or Venmo to the individual(s) you are wanting to tip.
Do you give Instruction/Guiding if I have my own bike?
Yes we do provide instruction. Contact us for pricing. Sorry at this time we do not provide guiding, we may in the future.
How far in advance should I book a motorcycle rental?
We generally require a least 3 days notice before booking a rental, but we can sometimes accommodate short notice rentals. However, we suggest you book as early as possible to ensure availability, as during the high season the whole rental fleet can be booked weeks to a month in advance. We cannot guarantee a bike will be available for you if you are booking the day before or the day of when you want to ride.
Do I get a refund if I return my motorcycle earlier?
No, no refunds for early returns or unused fuel (if you purchased extra fuel), etc.
Are the motorcycle photos on the rental page true to life? Is the actual bike that color/year?
We use stock photos for most rental motorcycles. Therefore, the bike you rent may be slightly different from the bike you see pictured – it may be a different color or year, and it may come with different accessories. If you would like to see the actual bikes check our blog or photo gallery.
I’m interested in dirt bike training for my child. Are there age limits?
No, we typically base it off of if you child can ride a bicycle without training wheels. With that prerequisite we have taught kids as young as 6 how to ride a dirt bike. Our smallest bike available is a Honda CRF50 with or without training wheels, and throttle limiter.
What, if I have to change my reservation?
Changes must be requested by email.
Do I have to leave a security deposit at pick up?
Yes, at pick-up of any rental motorcycle you are required to leave a credit card security deposit or you may leave your credit card on file (to be charged later for damages or lost items) with Moto Tahoe or its rental provider.
Do I need to have special insurance?
Moto Tahoe strongly recommends that you take out adequate travel insurance including Medical, Evacuation and Repatriation coverage and that you extend your coverage to include Trip Cancellation.
How can I confirm that the motorcycle rental or tour dates I want is available?
Currently we do not have online scheduling. If you get in contact with us by phone, email, or fill out our Rental Request Form. We can then give the most up-to-date openings. However, we will not hold a date and bikes unless we have the 25% reservation deposit.
